Vision, Mission and Values

Valley A.A. travel soccer has a vision of offering a top soccer program that excites, inspires and motivates young soccer player's long-term growth.  We aim to instill a passion and love for the game in each of our players. Our mission is to develop strength of character and the physical skills for our players through education, training and hard work. We are committing to continual growth for all players, coaches, and parents in our travel soccer program, and aim to promote good sportsmanship and soccer IQ for all.  We also expect everyone involved to adhere to the core values of our club:  Commitment, Respect, Pride, Determination, Courage and Selflessness.

Team Commitment, Registration Fees, and Volunteering

The Valley A.A. travel program is designed to be a competitive soccer program with teams playing in a variety of travel leagues and tournaments throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, as well as the tri-state area. Teams are formed by selecting players at open tryouts that take place each spring. The players on travel teams can range in age from 8 to 18 for both boys and girls.

Travel soccer teams can involve a full year commitment with the primary season in the fall. Teams will practice and play throughout the summer, fall, and spring seasons, with teams also practicing indoors during the winter. Weekend tournaments, outdoor and indoor, are part of team and player development. During the spring and fall, the boys and girls travel teams will play in the Inter-County Soccer League (ICSL).

Player fees are derived from a budget prepared for each team. The parents of travel players are encouraged to understand the annual team budget before making the full year commitment. Teams may have different costs that are due based on their tournament play and league fees. Player costs can differ from team to team depending on the age group, number of players on the team, number of tournaments, as well as how successful the team in fundraising.

Volunteering is a major part of belonging to Valley A.A.  In addition to the coaches, parents and players should be involved in maintaining and sustaining growth in the travel soccer program.  We encourage everyone to be involved and provide help with periodic field maintenance, and/or assisting with functional roles of each team.  The overall success of a team can be aided largely with the efforts of not only the travel commissioner, but also from the efforts of the parents and the players of the team that they represent.
